REFUSE / RECYCLE COLLECTION BIDS
Bids
will be received by the Board of Trustees, Village of Hammondsport, at the
Village Office, 18 Water Street, Hammondsport, NY, until 4:00 p.m. December 11,
2012. Bids will be publicly opened at
6:00 p.m. before the regularly scheduled monthly board meeting.
Collection and removal of refuse and recyclables generated within the Village of Hammondsport from Village properties, but only such waste as is acceptable for the disposal at the Steuben County Landfill in Bath, and as defined in these specifications.
Quotes are requested on the following services for a one (1) year period described as follows:
March 1, 2013 to February 28, 2014

Winter Off-street Parking in Effect
Effective December 1 there is no
parking
on village streets between 2
am—6
am. This law is in effect until
April
1. Please remember to move
your
car off the street so plows can
get
through and make the streets
safe
for drivers. Not complying may
result
in a parking ticket.
Also,
according to Village Code, all
property
owners in the Village are
responsible
to clear sidewalks of
snow
and ice within 24 hours of the
end
of snowfall. Please do not
shovel
the snow from sidewalks on
to
public streets.
Keeping
the streets and sidewalks
clear
during the winter months is
important
not only for the safety of
drivers
but for people, young and
old,
that have to walk to school, the
grocery
store or just to get the paper.
Please
be a conscientious neighbor
and
do your part in maintaining your
sidewalk.

2012 Grape Pumpkin Festival
the 2012 Grape Pumpkin Festival has been cancelled.
The Chamber will look into revamping or replacing he festival for 2013.
